As the year comes to an end and summer break approaches, many of us are thinking about vacations on sandy beaches, long hikes, and bustling cities. Here are five of the best vacation spots to visit this summer.

Puerto Rico

First on the list, Puerto Rico. Out of all the Caribbean islands, Puerto Rico is one of the best places to vacation this summer. Puerto Rico has many attractions, with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, such as Flamenco Beach, which is decorated with abandoned World War II tanks along the coast. Puerto Rican food is also some of the best, being a mix of traditional Spanish and African foods. Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, a passport is not required to travel there.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Second on the list, Brazil. Brazil’s many different attractions and cuisine make it one of the best summer destinations in 2025. Brazil’s tropical climate ensures warm temperatures and plenty of sun. In Rio De Janeiro, you can find some of the most popular attractions, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, Copacabana Beach, and Sugarloaf Mountain, all beautiful attractions to see and visit, especially during the summer.

Barcelona, Spain

Third on the list, Barcelona, which offers a unique experience that is hard to find anywhere else being as though the city is home to some of the best architecture in the world along with some of the best beaches in the world. You can choose whether you want your summer vacation in Barcelona to be a beach vacation or a city trip in order to explore this beautiful architecture and all the attractions. Spain’s warm weather during the summer months makes it a perfect vacation spot in 2025.

Paris, France

Fourth on the list, France. In 2024, Paris was one of the most popular vacation spots during the summer due to the 2024 Olympics. Although the Olympics are over, Paris is still one of the best vacation spots this summer due to its rich culture and popular attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower, which is a must see if you go to Paris.

Rome, Italy

Last but not least, Rome, Italy. Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is filled with ancient Roman architecture and buildings. When going to Rome, you must visit places like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and Vatican City, which is very close to Rome. Rome is also the hot spot for traditional Italian food, like pizza and pasta.

These are just 5 of the best summer vacation spots to go to in 2025, and they are each special and versatile in their own ways. So whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation in somewhere like Puerto Rico or to explore a large city with beautiful architecture, like Barcelona or Rome, you’re sure to find somewhere (on this list or beyond) that best suits your wants and needs this break.
