Introduction of JonBenet

JonBenet Ramsey was born on August 6, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her household consisted of her father, John Ramsey, her mother, Patsy Ramsey, and her brother, Burke Ramsey (3). The family moved to Colorado in 1991, for John’s business. JonBenet was 1 year old at the time. Between the ages of 4 and 5, her mother started to enter her into her first pageants. After a few pageants, she was a well-known participant and started to get a lot more attention. She was crowned “Little Miss Colorado”, “Little Miss Charoy”, and “Colorado State Allstar kids Covergirl”, along with winning plenty of other pageants. This attracted a lot of attention to JonBenet.
Case Starts: On December 26, 1996, JonBenet’s mother called police, reporting JonBenet missing after a ransom note was discovered; JonBenet was nowhere to be found. The note claimed, “At this time we have your daughter in our possession. She is safe and unharmed” and proceeded to say that the family should “withdraw $118,000.00″ from their bank account for her return, blackmailing John Ramsey. Police arrived right before 6:00 A.M. Everyone began searching the house to find JonBenet but could not find her or any forced entry of somebody trying to break into the family’s home. This was until later when John Ramsey, her father, discovered her body in the basement’s wine cellar wrapped in a blanket, deceased. When police and investigators took a look at the body carefully, they found pineapple pieces in her stomach showing that maybe JonBenet went to the kitchen late at night to get something to eat before the tragedy of her death happened.

Theories and Suspects: Obviously, due to JonBenet’s fame and success, Patsy was thought to be a crazy stage mom. Allegations seemed to be pointing to the parents, making people believe that they had something to do with the murder of JonBenet. Others expressed that a family member, or someone close to the Ramsey family, hurt JonBenet, considering the fact that there was no forced entry into the house. Lastly, some felt that JonBenet’s attention from pageants may have attracted the wrong crowd. Her safety might have been compromised, especially with her father being involved in a suspicious business. JonBemet could have possibly been murdered by one of her father’s colleagues.

Conclusion:
As of 2025, this case is still not solved. Investigators and other people have claimed that they may have found the killer of JonBenet, but nothing has been made official or released to the public. Unfortunately, Patsy Ramsey, JonBenet’s mom, passed away in 2006 at the age of 49, leaving her with no answers about her daughter’s murder and without any justice served from the crazy disaster she was put through. The case remains open, with evidence of a male’s DNA found at the scene. This is all the information we have right now. Hopefully, in the near future, JonBenet, her family, and her close friends will get the justice they deserve.
