Introduction
America’s favorite sport’s biggest event is coming up: the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is the annual league championship that started in 1967 with the creation of the American Football League. This annual game is held every second Sunday in February, and people commonly refer to it as Super Bowl Sunday or Super Sunday.
Overview
The Super Bowl takes place every year at the end of the football season. Teams first compete in a playoff, where the best teams in the league compete to earn a spot in the Super Bowl. There are two different conferences: the NFC and the AFC. This division occurred in 1970 after the merger of the American Football League and the NFL. The best team from each conference then competes in the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl 2025
Super Bowl 2025 features a matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles as they compete for the Super Bowl trophy. Both teams are very good, with the Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and the Eagles led by Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. This game is an exciting rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl, where the Eagles lost to the Chiefs. The Chiefs also have a great record, having won two Super Bowls back-to-back.
The Half-Time Show

The Super Bowl also has a halftime show, which takes place when the second quarter ends and the players go to the locker room. Famous rappers and artists often make an appearance and perform for the audience during halftime, with past performers including big names like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Usher, The Weeknd, and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
This year’s Super Bowl halftime show will feature Kendrick Lamar and SZA, who will perform songs from their newest albums.
My Super Bowl LIX Review
Super Bowl LIX (59) took place last week on February 9, 2025. The Eagles took an early lead, gaining an advantage over the Chiefs.
During the halftime show, Kendrick Lamar performed some of his most iconic songs, with special guest SZA joining him. He also performed “Not Like Us,” a song that earned him five Grammy Awards.
The Eagles maintained their lead as the Chiefs just couldn’t make a play, allowing the Eagles to dominate. In the end, the final score was 40-22, with the Eagles securing the victory. The Chiefs were finally dethroned, and the Eagles took the spotlight.
Now, the question remains—who will be the next Super Bowl champion?
