This was one of the best performances at Coachella 2025. Benson Boone took his take on the classic song “Bohemian Rhapsody” and healed Queen’s fans. The song “Bohemian Rhapsody” is a legendary classic, originally by Queen. The band Queen was a powerhouse in the music industry and has had a massive cultural impact. Boone, covering such a popular and well-known track, was able to connect with original fans by bringing such a nostalgic experience but also connect with newer audiences who appreciated his fresh take on the song. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is a blend of elements like rock, opera, and balladry. Queen’s original performance set the bar high, and Benson Boone delivered very well. His vocals and unique style brought a fresh vibe to the song we know and love, while also making it feel new but still honoring the original and Freddie Mercury. The most jaw-dropping act of this performance was Boone bringing out Brian May, an original member of Queen. People say Boone just made history, and we agree. The last Queen concert was in January of 1997, so being able to bring out an icon to perform one of his most popular songs, 28 years later, is a very crazy and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Boone’s performance was 100% one of the best and definitely will go down in history.
Charli XCX
Charli XCX’s Coachella 2025 show had some big surprise guests like Troye Sivan, Lorde, and Billie Eilish, and it marked the end of her “Brat Summer” phase. This was a top performance at Coachella this year. The band ‘The Maria’s’ was not one of the bigger bands performing, but they had one of the best performances. This showcased the band’s and Maria’s unique artistry and talent at such a big and major music festival. Her performance stood out because of her vocal style, her beautiful voice, and the arrangement and instrumentation of her songs. She brought a fresh and distinctive feel to the Coachella stage. Maria sang such a beautiful song and brought everyone together. In videos of her performance, all you can hear is the audience singing along with her. This performance resonated with the audience emotionally. Her powerful voice and her relatable lyrics connected with so many people.
