Why is this a good idea?!
I think healthcare should be free because of how much people need it. There’s a significant portion of people around the world who are struggling with health related issues. The mind and body need to be taken care of; it’s essential. So why should we have to worry about paying for it?

Free healthcare would ensure access for EVERYONE, even the people who don’t have a home, which makes up .20% of the United States population. Free healthcare would greatly help people and it would help the economy – more stable people means more help for the overall community. Plus, free healthcare would reduce the risk of medical debt and bankruptcy, which can have long lasting financial consequences.
Percentage of deaths around the U.S.
In 2021, heart disease (including heart attacks) accounted for about 20.1% of all U.S. deaths, with approximately 650,000 deaths. Each year, around 805,000 Americans experience a heart attack, with 605,000 being first time attacks and 200,000 occurring in those who already had a heart attack at some point in their life. Now, taking into consideration all other diseases, not just heart attacks, an estimated 3.3 million people have died in the U.S. due to health issues and between 35,327 and 44,789 people have died due to FINANCIAL issues. For example, those who are homeless cannot get medical treatments; therefore, their financial issues are ultimately what causes many of their deaths.
So many problems can be reduced if the country eliminates healthcare expenses. Having to pay money to be able to live is not fair at all, especially when one is not able to do so.
Financial issues
As of 2023, approximately 11.1% of the U.S. population (36.8 million people) is categorized as low income families, and that’s a significant amount of people. People have a lot of financial issues and concerns, especially these low income families. Free healthcare would significantly help these families who need support, plus it would most likely get the employment percentage up because of the population potentially being more healthy, thereby able to work.
