The Best Sauce Tournament
Hey, Tigers, it’s James Flores here and over the past few weeks I sent out several surveys to find out the number 1 most popular sauce in all of fast food, and now the results are in and the winner has been decided. Read the rest of the article to find out who won!
Round 1-Ranch: The first round, being the best ranch, goes to Wing Stop in a landslide victory, absolutely sweeping the competition with 108 votes. In a distant second was Popeye’s buttermilk ranch, which received only 9 votes. There’s no question about it, Wing Stop ranch is the best ranch around. As for how the ranch itself tastes, Wing Stop ranch as compared to other ranches is uniquely creamy and mellow, and unlike some other ranches, doesn’t have an overwhelming flavor which leads to it being a favorite among consumers!
Round 2- Signature sauce: For the second round, the best signature sauce was more contentious; however, Cane’s took the win with 54 votes! A not-so-close second was Chick-Fil-A, a classic sauce with 24 votes. Personally, I thought this was going to be a way closer match, but Cane’s sauce seems to have a huge fan base within our school. Cane’s sauce, as I’m sure most reading this article know, has a unique tangy and peppery flavor. It tastes like Thousand Island dressing but with a more unique flavor.
Round 3-BBQ sauce: The third round was BBQ sauce, and it seems people were a lot less passionate about this sauce than the other two, as this poll had, by far, the least responses with only 52 total votes. However, a winner must still be decided, and with a total of 24 votes, McDonald’s Tangy BBQ sauce wins over Chick-Fil-A’s BBQ sauce, which had only 14 votes. McDonald’s BBQ sauce may be simple, but the classics are nothing to scoff at. With a sweet and smoky flavor, McDonald’s BBQ is a nostalgic and delicious option.
Final round-Top 3: For the final round, our finalists were Wing Stop ranch, with 108 votes in round 1; Cane’s sauce, with 54 votes in round 2; and McDonald’s BBQ, with 24 votes in round three. With a close victory of 14 more votes than our runner up, Cane’s sauce wins the tournament with 45 votes! The runner up was Wing Stop ranch with 31 votes, and dead last was McDonald’s BBQ with a measly 11 votes.
Conclusion: Overall, the competition was a great success, however we did one particular complaint from a lot of responses that I’d like to address. A very common response was that Cane’s chicken, despite being the tournament winner, is bland and under seasoned, which I can’t disagree with. But this competition was about sauce and sauce only! Eventually, if our readers are interested, we can have a similar tournament with the best fast food chicken on its own. But, for now, Cane’s has been crowned the winner of the Fast Food Sauce Tournament!
