Now that the seasons are changing, I thought it would be nice to see which season EPHS students prefer and why. I’ve issued a survey among the students at EPHS to get their opinions on their favorite season and here are the results! 

Clearly, a lot of the students prefer fall over winter, spring, and summer. Summer has the second most votes and spring has the least. Most of the students chose fall as their favorite season because they like everything fall has to offer, like the drinks, the weather, the scenery, and the football season. One of the students responded with “Fall is the best time for school, too, because all the clubs are starting and school isn’t as stressful at this time because you just started.” Another student said,  “The leaves are finally changing colors, making the outside beautiful. There’s also usually a nice breeze making it vest weather! It’s not too hot and not too cold in general.” 

A lot of the students who chose summer as their favorite season said they like summer because there is no school and they get to go hangout with their friends all of the time, which multiple people can agree with. 

The students who said that Winter was their favorite season really like the cold weather and the snow, the holidays, Winter Break, and the scenery, plus they enjoy sports like skiing and a lot of indoor activities, like baking, watching movies, etc. 

As for me, my favorite season is summer. The reason why my favorite season is summer is that I get to spend more time with those who I love and my favorite holiday; Fourth of July is in the summer. I live with my baby niece and I love spending as much time as possible with her. I’m also able to spend time with friends a lot more often without worrying if I have homework to do when I get home. In addition, I think there are a lot more activities to do during the summertime since the weather is always so nice. Another thing that I like about the summer is that I have a lot more freedom; for example, I’m able to stay out with friends later without being told that it is a school night so I have to be back home earlier than normal.

Nonetheless, the overall majority of students at EPHS prefer fall over the other seasons, which I absolutely see the perks of as well!
