During the fall and winter seasons, couples go on dates to a variety of fun and enjoyable locations, so here are 10 of the BEST date ideas for the fall and winter.

Fall

1. Haunted House

One of the most exciting things during the fall season is Halloween and with that comes the spooks of the holiday. So, why not enjoy the spooky season with your loved one at a haunted house? You’ll get to hold hands tightly, laugh, scream, and bond over the shared scares.

2. Scary Movie

Watching a scary movie with your partner can be a great way to bond. It can be a fun way to experience an adrenaline rush together, which can make the evening memorable and exciting. Also, it gives you both something to talk about and laugh over afterwards.

3. Pumpkin Patch & Pumpkin Carving

Visiting a pumpkin patch allows you to enjoy the fall atmosphere together, picking out the perfect pumpkin and then getting creative with your carving designs. It’s a fun activity that can lead to lots of laughter and great photo opportunities. Also, it is a wonderful way to create lasting memories and celebrate the season together.

Pumpkin patches may seem boring but with a loved one the experience could be awesome. Picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve together is so fun.

4. A Picnic

A picnic can be an amazing way to spend time outdoors and enjoy nature. Also, it is a chance to eat a meal in a beautiful setting. Whether or not it’s in a park, a picnic is a great way to connect with your loved one. You can bring a variety of foods, fruits, desserts and maybe things such as games or a good book to enjoy.

5. Hayride

Going on a hayride can be super fun and romantic! You can enjoy the crisp fall air and take in the beautiful scenery together. It’s a perfect way to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company in a cozy setting.

Winter

Following the chilly fall season comes winter. Along with snow and low temperatures come fun activities to do with a loved one, not only outside in the snow but also indoors.

1. Sledding & Ice Skating

A really amazing outdoor date idea during the winter is sledding. Going down a hill of snow, drinking hot chocolate in the process, and having a good laugh with a loved one would make this date an amazing and unforgettable experience! Along with sledding comes ice skating. Whether it’s outside or at an indoor rink, it is always a fun experience to go through, especially if it’s with a loved one.

2. Building a Snowman

Following the sledding and ice skating comes another fun outdoor experience and that’s building a snowman! Snowmen are hard to build. With a partner, it can be twice as hard and twice as fun. You’ll have a great time collecting the necessary items and having snowball fights throughout the process. Even if the snowball fight causes you to mess up, it will be worth the restart to have some more fun together.

Building a snowman is fun, but it can be even more fun with a loved one. The more you mess up the better and the more time you get to spend together.

3. Navy Pier

A nice cool, chilly night by Lake Michigan. That’s what an experience at Navy Pier can be like alone… Now imagine it with a special someone that can make this experience actually worth it. How relaxing and soothing would it be to get on the Ferris wheel with your partner? Then, afterwards you can get some hot chocolate, walk around near the lake, admire the view, and talk about your plans, while having a good laugh with each other.

4. Zoo Lights

During the summer, you walk down the paths, having no entertainment apart from the animals themselves. Sounds like a regular zoo right? Well, in Chicago, it’s a completely different scene during the winter. The lights go on, and, around every corner, in every exhibit, it is decorated. Zoo Lights match the winter and Christmas vibes and allow for a perfect date night with your loved one. You can enjoy a beautiful scene, while taking a beautiful walk on a winter night.
