As a huge fan of LEGOS, even though I don’t have many, I’ve always wanted a collection. Building them just feels so peaceful to me. I also was recently gifted a LEGO set and it inspired me to write about LEGOS, and, with Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it would be a creative idea to mix the two together! What are LEGOS?
To start off, the word “legos” comes from the Danish phrase “leg godt”, which means “play well”; this is what LEGOS are mainly about.
LEGOS are small building blocks created by Ole Kirk Kristiansen over 90 years ago. He first began making wooden toys in 1932, then started the LEGO company 2 years later. He made his first plastic brick with mini cylinder humps on the top. Soon thereafter, his company began to expand and become known and loved as LEGOS, a brand we all know of today.
