The many different kinds of Brainrot of 2025. These include, I’m a dude man, I’m 4 years old and Ashton Hall.

Top 5 Brainrots of 2025

As 2025 goes by, the newest internet trends come and go. The internet sensation Brainrot has especially seen its take over of the younger generations on social media. The term Brainrot describes “short-form content that is low quality and simplistic; it also refers to the perceived negative, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive consequences of consuming such material”, thus the name: Brainrot. So, I sent out a poll to EPHS and they determined their Top 5 Brainrots of 2025.

#1. 67

Maverick TreyVillain’s face after being posted and becoming an internet phenomenon. He has since made videos talking about this incident.

The most significant and ranked number one of brainrot terms is the infamous term “67”. The way this internet sensation came into the spotlight was through the song “Doot Doot (6 7)” by artist Skrilla. As the phrase got more and more popular, one clip gained massive traction among the internet with a kid moving his hands saying “67!”

#2. Low Taper Fade

Ranked at second for Brainrot terms is the legendary “Low Taper Fade”. The Low Taper Fade meme made its way around the internet around early January of 2024 when a musician called “Ericdoa” was freestyling for people on live stream and said the all-time classic term “Imagine if Ninja got a Low Taper Fade.” New renditions of this meme have resurfaced as it has collabed with “Locked in Alien”. Legends say that this meme never dies and will always be massive.

#3. EEFOC

Pictures from the original video of EEFOC. These two have never made a video or thread together before this incident.

Ranked number three for top Brainrot of 2025 is the “EEFOC” meme. This meme was originally started by a TikToker by the name of “@markbillett14” in early January of 2023. The original video includes the creator making a joke about not caring before he has his coffee. This blew up as another creator named “@matthewkingfamous” stitched the original video saying how it is “EEFOC” and how “It’s funny”. This has phased in and out of the internet for months on end but is always top of the charts when it comes back into the mainstream.

#4. A barbershop haircut that cost a quarter

The fourth spot on the top 5 brainrot of 2025 is the “Barbershop haircut that cost a quarter” video. This line comes from a theater production of the musical “Newsies”. The theater production is based on a group of kids going around New York selling newspapers so they can help make money for themselves or their families. When new rules are set, making it harder to sell newspapers, the group called Newsies then go on strike to fight against the new rules. The man that is shown in the clip is called Kevin James Sievert. The online clip of him saying this sentence around January of 2021 had soon been forgotten until 2025 when people had brought it back.

#5. F students are inventors

Kingazoulay talking about how the F students are the most likely to succeed. A skit made based on the “F students are inventors” meme has since been made multiple times.

For the fifth place of the top five is “F students are inventors”. The influencer who goes by the account “@kingazoulay” posted a video in mid-April of 2025 talking about how the students who receive F’s in class are the most likely to become inventors in society. He calls the F students inventors, but the internet soon made him twist his own words. People online used his own audio by showing off terribly stupid inventions or just nothing of importance. This meme has since died out but remains at the top of the Brainrot for 2025.

Made popular by the massive wave of Italian Brainrot terms floating around the internet; it was the first of its kind.

Chicken Jockey

The trailers for the Minecraft movie, which led to massive amounts of hype and memes from the trailers. Chicken Jockey was the best of the bunch.

I’ve played these games before

Made popular during season 2 of Squid Games; the main protagonist says this famous line that has gone viral around the time of the release of Squid Games season 2.

Hello! I am Jacob Powers and I am currently a junior at EPHS. My interests include sports, having fun, and most importantly the genre of horror. “What’s your favorite scary movie?” Mine is certainly Scream. I like to do theatre and have a lot of fun acting as different characters. I also enjoyed helping people get better at sports or at school subjects that I am good at, (Math, History, anything but writing about books). I plan to go to a community college and hopefully learn what I want to have a career in!
